BSU and MFA to Develop Action Plan for Expanded Cooperation
A delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Yalcin Rafiyev visited Baku State University (BSU), where discussions were held on strengthening cooperation between BSU and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting highlighted the key role of BSU graduates—particularly from the Faculties of Oriental Studies, International Relations, Economics, and Law—in supporting the country’s diplomatic service. It was noted that Azerbaijan maintains diplomatic missions in around 80 countries, with ongoing expansion in various regions.
Participants discussed opportunities for joint efforts in training diplomatic personnel, especially in Eastern Europe and Africa, emphasizing the significant contribution of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The importance of internships, the Diplomacy Volunteers program, and youth initiatives under the Non-Aligned Movement was also underlined.
The sides agreed to develop a joint action plan to further expand cooperation across multiple areas.
