An International Scientific and Practical Conference "The main trends in the development of legal science and education in the Republic of Azerbaijan in the modern period" dedicated to the 94th anniversary of the National Leader's birth was held At the Faculty of Law of Baku State University (BSU).

Opening the conference rector, academician Abel Maharramov noted the invaluable merits towards the Azerbaijani people of the National Leader HeydarAliyev. Academician Abel Maharramov in his speech stressed the unprecedented services of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in presence of Azerbaijani people and state.

Then, Academician of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine Oleg Zaichuk, The chief of the Police Academy, the police major-general Nazim Aliyev Dean of the Faculty of Law (BSU), Professor Amir Aliyev made a speech at the event.

The conference was attended by Professor of the National University of State Tax Service of Ukraine Leonid Timchenko, Professor of the Kiev National Aviation Academy Ibrahim Guliyev, Professor of the Lvov National University named after Ivan Franko Mikhail Mikeyevich, Professor of the Ukrainian Academy of Advocates Yevgeny Fesenko, Professor of the Andrzej Modzhevsky Academy (Krakow) Alexander Merezhko, Acting Rector of the Academy of Justice, Elchin Khalafov.

Within the framework of the event BSU and Police Academy signed Cooperation Agreement in the sphere of education and science.
