BSU and Sejong University Explore New Areas of Cooperation

A delegation from Sejong University (Republic of Korea) visited Baku State University (BSU) to discuss prospects for expanding academic cooperation.

BSU Vice-Rector Huseyn Mamedov provided the guests with an overview of the university’s history, structure, academic programs, and research activities. He highlighted BSU’s extensive international partnerships, student and faculty exchange programs, and joint research projects that contribute to strengthening scientific potential and improving the quality of education. The Vice-Rector also noted opportunities for collaboration in areas such as artificial intelligence, economics, tourism, and international relations, as well as participation in international initiatives.

Sejong University Vice President Chunghun LEE emphasized the importance of developing dual degree programs and enhancing cooperation in fields including economics, artificial intelligence, business management, and tourism.

Founded in 1940, Sejong University consists of eight faculties and ten schools with around 20,000 students. It ranks 396th in the QS World University Rankings and 201–250th in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.
