Baku State University (BSU) will host an international conference titled “Media and Communication Activities in the Digital Age” on May 14–16, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press.

The event is being jointly organized by BSU and Türkiye’s Üsküdar University, in partnership with the Media Development Agency, the Audiovisual Council, and the Press Council of Azerbaijan.

Highlights of the conference will include Workshops by representatives from Turkish universities and media outlets, the inauguration of the National Press History Auditorium at the Faculty of Journalism, and the presentation of a special issue of the Bakı Universiteti newspaper, along with the launch of the faculty’s new journal, Media Problemləri.

The conference is expected to welcome over 100 guests and will feature 19 in-person panel discussions and up to 24 online sessions.
