A memorandum of understanding was signed between Baku State University (BSU) and Suleyman Demirel University (Türkiye).

The document was signed by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and Suleyman Demirel University Rector Mehmet Saltan.

At the signing ceremony, Rector Elchin Babayev briefed the guests on BSU’s educational and research activities, as well as its international partnerships. He noted that BSU maintains close cooperation with Turkic-speaking countries, including leading universities in fraternal Türkiye. He emphasized that collaboration with Suleyman Demirel University will further strengthen the fraternal relations between the two countries and highlighted the broad potential for cooperation in fields such as law, economics, chemical engineering, engineering geology, and psychology.

Rector Mehmet Saltan stated that Suleyman Demirel University comprises 14 faculties and enrolls approximately 40,000 students. He stressed that successful cooperation with BSU is important for the advancement of science in both Azerbaijan and Türkiye, as well as for training internationally competitive specialists.

The memorandum envisions joint projects, international scientific seminars and conferences, and student and faculty exchange programs. It will also create new opportunities for sharing expertise in teaching, research, and internationalization.
