BSU Rector Elchin Babayev held online meeting with the leadership of the Permanent Observer Mission of the UN University for Peace in Geneva. The meeting was attended by the Head of Mission, Ambassador David Fernandez Puyana, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the UN office and other international organizations in Geneva Seymur Merdaliyev, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Science and Education Ilgar Dadashov, Senior Advisor of the Department of International Cooperation Sakina Agalarova, Vice-Rector for International Relations of the Azerbaijan University of Languages Jalya Garibova, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Programs of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics Neman Muradli, and Head of the International Relations Department of BSU Rauf Hasanov.

Ambassador David Fernandez Puyana used his speech to emphasize a willingness to cooperate with Azerbaijani universities. The Ambassador noted that the UN University for Peace is interested in cooperation in the areas of environmental law, green economy, international relations, international law and diplomacy.

BSU Rector Elchin Babayev shared information about the history and international relations of BSU. Rector said that the Memorandum of Understanding between BSU and the UN University for Peace will be framework document to sign agreements in areas of mutual interest.
