BSU and Özyeğin University of Türkiye Sign Memorandum of Understanding
Baku State University (BSU) and Özyeğin University of Türkiye have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening academic and scientific cooperation.
The MoU was signed by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and Özyeğin University Rector Barış Tan.
During the signing ceremony, Rector Babayev highlighted BSU’s educational, research, and international activities. He emphasized the university’s close cooperation with Turkic-speaking countries, particularly leading universities in brotherly Türkiye, and underlined the broad opportunities for collaboration with Özyeğin University at the master’s and doctoral levels. He also noted that the two institutions can jointly carry out scientific research, implement projects, and organize academic events.
In his remarks, Rector Barış Tan stressed the importance of successful cooperation with BSU for the scientific advancement of both Azerbaijan and Türkiye, as well as for the training of internationally competitive specialists. He confirmed Özyeğin University’s readiness to collaborate with BSU in areas such as innovation, artificial intelligence, engineering, international relations, and psychology.
The memorandum foresees joint projects, international scientific seminars and conferences, as well as student and faculty exchange programs. It also opens new avenues for sharing best practices in teaching, research, and internationalization.
