BSU Announces “Scientist of the Year” Competition
Baku State University (BSU) has announced a competition for the title of “Scientist of the Year” among its academic staff, timed to coincide with Science Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan on March 27.
The purpose of the competition is to recognize BSU employees who have achieved outstanding scientific results throughout the year, published research in reputable journals with impact factors, are indexed in international databases, received citations, and demonstrated high scientific and organizational activity.
The competition will be held in two categories: Natural Sciences and Engineering, and Humanities and Social Sciences. Winners will be awarded the title of “Scientist of the Year,” along with diplomas and cash prizes.
Prize amounts are as follows:
1st Place
- Natural Sciences and Engineering – 2,500 manats (1 prize)
- Humanities and Social Sciences – 2,500 manats (1 prize)
2nd Place
- Natural Sciences and Engineering – 1,500 manats (1 prize)
- Humanities and Social Sciences – 1,500 manats (1 prize)
3rd Place
- Natural Sciences and Engineering – 1,000 manats (1 prize)
- Humanities and Social Sciences – 1,000 manats (1 prize)
