BSU Announces the "Scientist of the Year" Competition

Baku State University (BSU) is pleased to announce a competition for the "Scientist of the Year" award, dedicated to March 27—Science Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Held annually, this competition aims to recognize and reward BSU employees who have made significant scientific contributions over the past year. Eligible candidates include researchers whose work has been published in prestigious, high-impact journals indexed in international databases, whose studies have been widely cited, and who have demonstrated outstanding scientific and organizational achievements.

The competition is conducted in two categories:

  • Natural and Technical Sciences
  • Humanities and Social Sciences

Awards and Prizes:

The winners in each category will receive the "Scientist of the Year" title, along with diplomas and cash prizes as follows:

1st Place

  • Natural and Technical Sciences – 1 winner (2,500 manats)
  • Humanities and Social Sciences – 1 winner (2,500 manats)

2nd Place

  • Natural and Technical Sciences – 1 winner (1,500 manats)
  • Humanities and Social Sciences – 1 winner (1,500 manats)

3rd Place

  • Natural and Technical Sciences – 1 winner (1,000 manats)
  • Humanities and Social Sciences – 1 winner (1,000 manats)
