BSU Awarded "Performance Improvement Award" by QS
Baku State University (BSU) has been honored with the "Performance Improvement Award" for its recent achievements in several rankings compiled by the prestigious global ranking organization QS Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The award was presented to BSU Rector Elchin Babayev by Ben Sowter, Senior Vice President at QS. At the awards ceremony, held as part of the "QS Higher Ed Summit: Europe 2024" in Barcelona, the QS Vice President highlighted BSU's success in the rankings over the past years.
BSU has made significant progress, rising 179 positions in the "QS World University Rankings 2025" to place within the 951-1000 range. Furthermore, BSU ranked 373rd globally for "Faculty-Student Ratio" and 271st for "Employer Reputation". In addition, based on evaluations across various indicators, BSU's scores for "Faculty-Student Ratio," "Citations per Faculty," "International Research Network," and “Employer Reputation” hold leading positions in the country.
In the "QS Europe 2025" ranking, BSU improved by 43% compared to the previous year, rising 78 positions to 336th place. In the "QS Western Asia 2025" ranking, BSU advanced by 4 positions to 15th place among 93 universities.
