BSU Biology Students Complete Internship at AZVarvara LLC
Biology students from Baku State University (BSU) are currently completing internships at AZVarvara LLC, located in the Yevlakh district of Azerbaijan.
AZVarvara LLC is one of the largest breeding centers in the country, spanning 280 hectares. The farm produces over 1,400 tons of regional fish, including sturgeon species native to Azerbaijan, as well as lime fish, Siberian sturgeon, and various hybrid species. The enterprise has an annual production capacity of 35 tons of black caviar and 350 tons of sturgeon meat.
Throughout the internship, the students gained hands-on experience by exploring different stages of the fish farming process. They received comprehensive information on practices such as administering hormonal injections to fish, growing larvae and fry, as well as their feeding and overall care. The internship allowed students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, helping them develop essential skills for their future careers in biology.
