Baku State University (BSU) held a conference to mark the 80th anniversary of Professor Akhmed Abdinov, head of the Department of Physical Electronics, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

BSU Rector Elchin Babayev praised Professor Abdinov’s exceptional contributions as a scientist, educator, and science organizer, highlighting his 63-year service at BSU and his tenure as Deputy Minister and Acting Minister of Education. Professor Abdinov, the author of over 650 scientific works, has mentored dozens of scholars throughout his career.

The event featured congratulatory speeches from prominent academic figures and institutions, as well as a commemorative video. Professor Abdinov expressed gratitude and encouraged young people to pursue science with dedication and discipline.
