A training session titled “The Contribution of Scientific Research to Sustainable Development” was held at Baku State University, organized by the university’s Quality Assurance Center.

The training was conducted by Asiman Ilyasov, Advisor to the Rector for Quality Assurance.

During the session, it was emphasized that the effective management of universities’ scientific potential, the promotion of interdisciplinary research, and the expansion of international scientific cooperation are key factors in developing innovative scientific approaches to addressing global challenges.

Participants were presented with the methodological foundations of sustainable development-oriented research, the practical application potential of scientific outcomes, and the role of sustainability indicators in international university ranking and evaluation systems.

The training also included an analysis of international experience. Participants engaged in interactive discussions and exchanged views on the role of universities in advancing sustainable development.
