BSU Conducts Research on the Application of Nanoparticles in Biomedicine
A joint scientific seminar was held by the Nanoscience Laboratory of the Center for Excellence in Research, Development, and Innovation at Baku State University (BSU), the Department of Chemical Physics of Nanomaterials, and Karabakh University.
At the event, Aygun Mehdiyeva, a doctoral student in the Department of Chemical Physics of Nanomaterials, delivered a presentation titled “Loading Drugs onto Functional Nanoparticles: Various Approaches and Prospects.”
She provided insights into research on functional nanoparticles and their potential biomedical applications, discussing the design of Fe₃O₄ nanoparticles tailored for targeted drug delivery systems, as well as the challenges and optimization methods involved in developing Fe₃O₄-based nanosystems.
The seminar was also attended by Karabakh University faculty members — PhD in Physics Orkhan Gyulakhmedov, Nargiz Mehdiyeva — and their students. The event concluded with an engaging scientific discussion.
