BSU Conducts Training on Integration of Sustainable Development Goals
Baku State University (BSU) has hosted a training session focused on integrating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into teaching and research within higher education.
Organized by the BSU Quality Assurance Center and led by Rector’s Advisor Asiman Ilyasov, the training aimed to raise awareness about the significance of the 17 UN SDGs in the context of academic institutions. Participants were introduced to best practices for embedding the SDGs into educational programs and research initiatives, along with internationally recognized methodologies for implementation.
The session was conducted in an interactive format, encouraging active engagement and discussion. Participants explored how BSU’s strategic development priorities align with the SDGs, how quality assurance mechanisms in higher education can be adapted to support sustainable development, and what key steps lie ahead for the university in this regard.
