BSU Co-Organizes International Conference on Biodiversity in Uzbekistan

The 3rd International Scientific Conference titled “Protection of Eurasian Biodiversity: Current Problems, Solutions, and Prospects” was held at the Karakalpak Research Institute of Natural Sciences in Nukus, Uzbekistan.

The event was jointly organized by Baku State University (BSU), Andijan State University (Uzbekistan), and Ege University (Türkiye).

The conference aimed to strengthen scientific cooperation across Eurasia, particularly among Turkic-speaking countries, to revive scientific research traditions, and to foster new approaches to biodiversity conservation.

Professor Rovshan Khalilov, Head of the Department of Biophysics and Biochemistry at BSU, delivered a plenary presentation at the event.

The conference brought together representatives from scientific institutions of Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan, providing a platform to discuss opportunities for future collaboration.

Participants addressed key topics including biodiversity conservation in Eurasia, sustainable use of flora and fauna, ecosystem restoration, protection of rare and endangered species, and the application of modern environmental monitoring and assessment methods.
