Aydan Handan, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Baku State University (BSU), presented a paper titled “The History of Turkish and Azerbaijani Romantic Poetry” at an international conference on Turkic Studies, held at the invitation of the University of Warsaw in Poland.

The conference was jointly organized by the Center for Azerbaijani Culture at the University of Warsaw, the International Foundation for Turkic Culture and Heritage, the Karaite Turks Foundation, and the University of Warsaw. The event brought together Turkic studies scholars from Poland, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Hungary, France, Georgia, and Lithuania.

During the visit, Aydan Handan also met with Agata Bareja-Starzynska,  Dean of the Faculty of Asian and African Cultures at the University of Warsaw, to discuss potential areas of interfaculty cooperation.
