BSU Delegation Engages in High-Level Talks at Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission
As part of its official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a delegation from Baku State University (BSU), led by Rector Elchin Babayev, held discussions with Chairman of Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC), Professor Mukhtar Ahmed.
The meeting focused on enhancing academic collaboration between BSU and Pakistan’s leading universities. Key topics included joint scientific research, student and faculty exchange programs, and broader institutional partnerships.
Rector Babayev reaffirmed BSU’s commitment to expanding international academic cooperation and emphasized the importance of joint initiatives in science and education with Pakistani institutions.
Chairman Mukhtar Ahmed welcomed these efforts, praising the growing educational ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. He assured BSU of the HEC’s full support in strengthening collaboration between the university and its Pakistani counterparts.
During their visit to the Higher Education Commission, the BSU delegation also met with Begum Tahmina Daultana, a member of Pakistan’s National Assembly. She underscored the strategic importance of educational and cultural cooperation between the two nations. As a seasoned politician who has served as Minister of Women Development, Social Welfare, and Special Education, as well as Minister of Women Development, Culture, Science, and Technology, Daultana expressed her strong support for initiatives fostering deeper academic and cultural ties.
The discussions reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to advancing bilateral collaboration in higher education, with concrete steps planned to facilitate long-term academic partnerships.
