The QS Pre-Summit titled "Higher Education: Asia-Pacific 2024" took place at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized by the global ranking agency QS.

During the event's opening, Ulker Sattarova, Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, delivered a presentation focusing on Azerbaijan’s advancements in science and higher education. The panel discussions highlighted relations between Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries, emphasizing future cooperation opportunities.

Eight leading universities from Azerbaijan were represented at the pre-summit, including a delegation led by Elchin Babayev, the Rector of Baku State University. Elchin Babayev also conducted an interview with QS, sharing insights on Azerbaijan's higher education landscape.

The pre-summit officially opened with delegates from 17 countries in attendance. The ceremony was honored by the presence of the Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Science and Higher Education, and senior officials from QS.
