BSU Delegation Visits NUTECH University to Strengthen Academic Cooperation
Rector of Baku State University (BSU), Elchin Babayev, met with the Rector of the National University of Technology (NUTECH) in Pakistan, Moazzam Ejaz, during his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The meeting focused on expanding collaboration between the two institutions in scientific research, technology transfer, and innovation.
NUTECH is recognized as one of Pakistan's leading universities in engineering, industrial technology, and military-applied sciences. Actively engaged in the development and application of new technologies, the university presents a valuable partner for BSU. This cooperation will enable joint research in engineering, information technology, aerospace sciences, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
A protocol of intent on cooperation was signed between the two universities, outlining a broad scope of collaboration. The agreement includes student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, shared use of engineering laboratories, support for technology startups, and stronger ties with industry. Additionally, both institutions agreed to implement advanced training programs and establish joint doctoral programs.
Elchin Babayev highlighted that BSU is advancing not only in fundamental sciences but also in applied sciences and technology. He emphasized that integrating with NUTECH will significantly contribute to strengthening BSU’s innovative ecosystem.
Discussions also covered the organization of joint technology conferences, seminars, and student innovation competitions, as well as the establishment of research and technology incubators.
During the visit, the BSU delegation toured the NUTECH campus and laboratories, gaining firsthand insight into the university’s technological infrastructure and research capabilities.
This partnership marks a significant step towards fostering academic and technological collaboration between BSU and NUTECH, paving the way for groundbreaking advancements in education and research.
