A delegation from Baku State University (BSU) recently visited Samarkand State University in Uzbekistan.

The BSU delegation included Vice-Rectors Alish Agamirzayev and Huseyn Mamedov, Director of the Center for Education Organization and Management Elchin Mamedov, and Adviser to the Rector Mirza Mirzayev. They met with Khakim Khushvaktov, Vice-Rector of Samarkand State University, Mukhtar Nasirov, Director of the International Projects Department, and other officials.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that BSU has significantly strengthened its cooperation with universities in Uzbekistan. BSU has signed agreements with several Uzbek universities, facilitating student and faculty exchanges. Joint projects and research are playing a vital role in enhancing the scientific potential of the region and improving educational quality.

The discussion also focused on potential areas of collaboration between the two universities, including accelerating internationalization, facilitating the exchange of teachers and students, and developing double degree programs.
