BSU Delegation Visits Schools of Anhui University
As part of an official visit to Anhui Province, China, a delegation led by Elchin Babayev, Rector of Baku State University (BSU), visited the School of Computer Science and Technology and the School of Artificial Intelligence at Anhui University.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss prospects for cooperation between the two universities in these fields, as well as opportunities for joint participation in academic, research, and technological projects.
During the visit, the BSU delegation was introduced to the academic programs, research facilities, and scientific infrastructure of the School of Computer Science and Technology, which offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in computer science and related disciplines. The School provides students with advanced laboratory facilities and research opportunities, combining strong theoretical training with practical skill development in areas such as programming, networking, information technologies, software engineering, and information systems.
The delegation also visited the School of Artificial Intelligence, which offers education and research opportunities in artificial intelligence, data science, big data technologies, and information engineering. The School conducts a wide range of research projects and employs more than 130 faculty members, including professors and research fellows. Its research activities include high-impact projects, publications in prestigious academic journals, and significant scholarly achievements. An interdisciplinary approach to artificial intelligence education enables students to develop broad professional competencies.
During discussions, the parties explored possibilities for launching joint undergraduate and graduate programs, facilitating faculty and researcher exchanges, and implementing collaborative research initiatives.
