BSU Discusses Social Work in the Post-War Period
Baku State University (BSU) hosted an event titled “Sixth Year of Victory: Reconstruction and Integration in the Post-War Period.”
Rovshan Javadov, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology, noted that projects implemented in the liberated territories contribute not only to infrastructure reconstruction but also to the restoration of social and community life.
The event focused on post-war reconstruction and social integration, with particular attention to the role of social work. Speakers highlighted the contribution of social workers to supporting vulnerable groups, providing psychosocial rehabilitation and promoting community-level integration.
BSU students Türkan Rustamova, Nurlan Nurulu, Nermin Mammadova and Sabina Rasulova addressed issues including security, demining, the restoration of energy and water infrastructure, the safe return of internally displaced persons to their ancestral lands, and job creation.
The students also presented videos highlighting state support for the families of martyrs, war participants and veterans as part of post-war reintegration efforts.
The event concluded with a discussion and a Q&A session.
