BSU Discusses Unique Structures of the Quranic Language

As part of the events dedicated to March 27 — Science Day, the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Baku State University (BSU) held a scientific seminar titled “The Unique Structures of the Quranic Language.”

Professor Nasrullah Mammadov of the Department of Arabic Philology delivered a presentation at the seminar. He conducted a comparative analysis of the Arabic language before and after the revelation of the Holy Quran, highlighting lexical, morphological, and grammatical differences. The professor emphasized the distinctive constructions of Quranic language and noted that Arabic writers and poets have been unable to replicate such expressions and structures. He also underlined the special status of Quranic language within Arabic and stressed the importance of expanding research in this field. His views were supported by verses from the Holy Quran.

Vugar Garadagly, Head of the Department of Arabic Philology, and Nigar Ismailzade, Deputy Dean of the Faculty, praised the scientific value of the presentation and emphasized the relevance of the topic.
The seminar concluded with an open discussion.
