BSU Doctoral Student successfully completed his research at the University of La Sapienza in Italy
On June 14, 2023, Tahir Javadzadeh, a doctoral student from the Faculty of Chemistry at Baku State University (BSU), successfully completed his research at the University of La Sapienza in Italy. Under the scientific guidance of Professor Luca Di Palma, Tahir Javadzadeh has developed a natural sorbent derived from food waste.
This innovative sorbent demonstrates the capability to effectively remove heavy metals from wastewater. The research project also explores the potential application of these sorbents in purifying oil-contaminated waters in the Absheron Peninsula.
It is worth noting that Tahir Javadzadeh conducted his research in Italy as part of the ITACA project (Innovative training center to support a 3rd cycle advanced education course to face environmental emergency in Azerbaijan). This achievement highlights the international collaboration and academic excellence fostered by BSU and its partnerships with renowned institutions worldwide.
