BSU, DOST Agency held joint conference
On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the Sustainable and Operational Social Security Agency (DOST), a conference on the topic "Scientific Paradigm of Forming Modern Public Services in the Social Sphere" was held at Baku State University (BSU).
Rector BSU Elchin Babaev stated that the social policy, authored by the great leader Heydar Aliyev is being developed by President Ilham Aliyev: "State programs have been adopted on social reforms, education, healthcare, social protection, demographic development, employment, poverty reduction, social housing, resettlement of internally displaced persons, targeted social assistance, self-employment, and dozens of other programs. The DOST Agency places great emphasis on developing its activities on a scientific basis and collaborating with universities”. Elchin Babaev also congratulated the DOST Agency team on its 5th anniversary and expressed confidence that joint activities would expand.
Anar Aliyev, the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, stated that the Conference will serve as a roadmap for research in such areas as organizing modern public services in the social sphere, the concept of a "single window," mapping social services, and transitioning services to a digital platform.
The event also featured speeches from Zahid Oruj, Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the Milli Majlis; Anar Nagiyev, Rector of Baku Slavic University; Elshad Mammadov, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population; and Professor of Labor and Environmental Law at BSU, Mais Aliyev.
