Baku State University (BSU) and Shanghai University of Political Science and Law (SHUPL) of the People’s Republic of China have signed a memorandum of understanding.

The document was signed by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and SHUPL President Zheng Shaohua.

The memorandum envisages cooperation in organizing joint projects, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, symposia, short-term courses, training programs, and research initiatives. It also covers joint academic publications, the development of academic programs, curricula, and syllabi, as well as the exchange of faculty, administrative staff, students, master’s and doctoral candidates, and researchers.

Founded in 1984, SHUPL is considered one of China’s leading institutions specializing in political science and law.
