The meeting brought together BSU Rector Elchin Babayev, Rector’s Advisor on Digitalization and Information Technology Shabnam Safarova, Advisor on Quality Assurance Asiman Ilyasov, and Head of the Rector’s Secretariat Mahir Pirguliyev.

Discussions focused on expanding cooperation to promote BSU’s scientific activities internationally, integrate research results into prestigious academic databases, enhance research productivity, and implement modern management tools.

Key topics included the introduction of electronic platforms for effective research management, indexing BSU’s scientific journals in international databases, training researchers to prepare articles in line with global publishing standards, and delivering practical sessions on SciVal and other analytical tools. The dissemination of BSU’s research outputs to a broader international audience was also addressed.

BSU leadership emphasized that collaboration with Elsevier will significantly strengthen the university’s position in global scientific rankings, raise the visibility of its research within the international academic community, and foster a modern scientific environment. This partnership will also create new opportunities for young researchers and encourage the adoption of innovative approaches to research.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to define specific stages of cooperation and outline a plan for future joint projects.
