BSU faculty members took part in training at Izmir Institute of Technology

Aygun Israilova, Boyukkhanim Jafarzade, Abdul Etibaroglu, Alibala Aliyev and Nurlan Amrakhov, faculty members of Baku State University (BSU) took part in the training "Genome Editing" organized by the Izmir Institute of Technology, Turkey.

It included training to the organization of genome editing technology in plants, mutation of negative genes in order to increase plant resistance to stress factors, and the creation of stress-resistant genotypes by transforming plant cells.

The training discussed the action plan to improve the laboratory "Cell Culture and Genome Editing" created at Baku State University and other issues of mutual cooperation.
