Beginning with the 2026/2027 academic year, Baku State University (BSU) will launch a new master's specialization in Online and Multimedia Journalism at its Faculty of Journalism.

The Online and Multimedia Journalism specialization is designed to provide students with the theoretical and practical foundations of professional journalism in today's rapidly evolving digital media environment. Through this program, master's students will acquire skills in convergent news production, multimedia content creation, and effective communication across social media platforms.

The curriculum will place particular emphasis on such disciplines as convergent journalism, media management, information technologies, media law, and professional ethics. Students enrolled in the program will develop competencies in gathering, processing, and presenting information using modern media tools.

Graduates of the Online and Multimedia Journalism specialization will be qualified to pursue careers in online media, news portals, television and radio broadcasting, as well as public relations.
