Ilkin Namazov, a graduate student at the Faculty of Geography of Baku State University (BSU), has achieved outstanding success at the WPA World Powerlifting Championships held in Hungary.

Representing the Azerbaijani national team, Namazov won first place in the 140 kg weight class among youth competitors and second place in the open category. He also claimed first place in the deadlift event.

The Azerbaijani team performed strongly overall, securing several gold medals at the championships.
