A festive event in connection with Republic Day has been held at Baku State University (BSU). Rector, academician Abel Maharramov congratulated participants on the occasion of Republic Day. He praised the role of ADR leaders - Rasulzadeh, Khoysky, Topchubashov and others. He said that ADR was the first democratic republic in the East. Maharramov noted that creation of BSU was a merit of ADR. According to academician Abel Maharramov, independence in Azerbaijan became stronger after returning to the country the national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Then, slides of the main historical events were shown. The event ended with a festive concert.
