As part of this cooperation, BSU students will have the opportunity to work closely with distinguished Israeli professors and experts. This program not only enhances students' academic experience but also fosters cultural exchange and international communication, opening up new avenues of opportunity.

In turn, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullaev, who participated in the ceremony, highlighted that the project is being implemented in accordance with the "State Program for Improving the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023".

According to the minister, as part of the second direction of the State Program for double degree programs, multiple agreements have been signed between Azerbaijani universities and universities from other countries over the years. Through these programs, over 1,000 Azerbaijani citizens have obtained diplomas from some of the world's leading universities without needing to travel abroad.

The Director of the Institute of Education, Rufat Azizov, said that this project encompasses three main directions. The first direction focuses on a double degree master's program. The second direction involves collaborative research with the involvement of young researchers and students from both universities. Within the program, 10 projects will be implemented over a span of 5 years, with each project lasting 4 years. The third direction of the project pertains to doctoral training in the field of biotechnology.

Professor Oron Shagrir, Vice President for International Relations at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, emphasized that the project will provide students from both universities with the opportunity to collaborate on joint research and acquire valuable international experience.
