A scientific seminar at the Faculty of Information and Document Management at Baku State University (BSU) marked March 27, Science Day. Parviz Kazimi, Associate Professor of the Library Science Department, presented a paper titled "BSU: A Key Player in Azerbaijan's Scientific Potential."

The presentation reviewed the history of science in Azerbaijan, current trends, and the integration of Azerbaijani research into global science. BSU’s high performance in international rankings and the impact of its applied research—published in journals indexed in leading scientific databases—were highlighted, alongside detailed h-index and citation metrics of BSU scientists.

The seminar concluded with a lively discussion on the university’s growing scientific influence.
