The Hirsch Index of Baku State University (BSU) has increased by 3 points in the last two months of the current year, reaching 65. According to the International Information Agency Clarivate Analytics, the average number of citations per scientific paper has risen to 8.23.

BSU staff, doctoral students, and students have already published 4,374 scientific papers in journals included in the Web of Science database. These works have been cited more than 36,000 times. Over the past 6 months of 2024, there have been 3,314 citations to the published scientific works. In the Web of Science database journals, BSU published 276 articles in 2023 (these are not the final results for the year), and since the beginning of 2024, 113 articles (also not the final results for the year).
