BSU Holds Career Guidance Meetings for First-Year Students
The Career and Alumni Center of Baku State University (BSU) is continuing its series of informative meetings with first-year students. The purpose of these meetings is to introduce students to the Center’s activities, highlight the wide range of opportunities it offers, and provide information on resources that support professional development.
At the meeting held with students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, representatives of the Career and Alumni Center, Ilkin Sharifov and Melekkhanim Gurbanova, emphasized that the Center’s main mission is to enhance students’ knowledge and skills and to prepare them in line with the demands of the labor market.
They noted that by engaging with the Center’s services, students can gain essential competencies such as effective career planning, personal and professional development, goal setting, preparing a CV that meets modern standards, mastering job search strategies and interview techniques, and more.
In addition, students were informed about the training programs, seminars, and projects organized by the Center. It was underlined that participation in these activities provides opportunities to learn about innovations in career development and to explore international experience, helping students shape their individual growth paths.
The meeting concluded with a Q&A session, during which numerous questions from students were addressed.
