BSU Holds Final Meeting of “Diplomat’s Speech” Project
The final meeting of the “Diplomat’s Speech” project was held at Baku State University (BSU) by the Faculty of International Relations and Economics.
Speaking at the event, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev emphasized the important role of diplomacy in strengthening Azerbaijan’s international position and noted that the project provided students with valuable skills in public speaking, diplomatic communication, and self-expression.
Information about the project was presented by lecturer of the Department of Diplomacy and Modern Integration Processes Vafa Ismailova, followed by a video presentation highlighting the training sessions.
Speakers at the session included members of the Milli Majlis (parliament), Nigar Mammadli; Rizvan Nabiyev; the Chair of the Milli Majlis Committee on Family, Women, and Children's Issues; and Hijran Huseynova, Head of the Department of Diplomacy and Modern Integration Processes at BSU; Ruslan Nasibov, Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union; Ayhan Hajizade, Head of the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Press Secretary; Metin Mammadli, Head of Department at the Center for Analysis of International Relations; and Shahin Ismailov, Chair of the Milli Majlis Committee on Youth and Sports.
A panel discussion titled “The Power of Words: Opportunities and Challenges of Modern Diplomacy” was also held with the participation of members of parliament, diplomats, and representatives of state institutions.
At the end of the event, certificates were presented to students who successfully completed the “Diplomat’s Speech” training program.
