BSU Holds Seminar on Publications Highlighting Shusha’s Cultural Significance
A scientific seminar titled “Publications about Shusha – The Cultural Capital of the Turkic World” was held at the Faculty of Information and Document Management of Baku State University (BSU). The seminar featured a report by master’s student Zeynab Abdulzade.
In her presentation, Abdulzade provided an overview of Shusha’s historical and cultural heritage, highlighting its strategic and symbolic importance for the Turkic world. The report included comprehensive references to scientific, journalistic, and literary publications on the city’s history, prominent figures, and tangible cultural assets.
Special emphasis was placed on the analysis of books, collections, statistical publications, and reference materials released by various publishing houses in the five years following Azerbaijan’s historic Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War. The study also offered comparative evaluations of these materials.
Additionally, the seminar explored the translation of these works into foreign languages. The significance of translated publications in promoting Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage, historical truth, and the Victory in the Patriotic War to the international community was underlined.
The seminar concluded with a lively discussion among participants.
