BSU Holds the First Master’s Thesis Defenses in the Cultural Law Specialization
Baku State University (BSU) has held the first Master’s thesis defenses in the Cultural Law specialization, established through a joint initiative of BSU and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Chair of the Specialized Council for Master’s Thesis Defenses, Minister of Culture and Doctor of Law Adil Karimli noted that the launch of the specialization in the 2024/2025 academic year marked an important step toward training professionals in the fields of cultural heritage protection, legal protection of cultural property, and international cultural law.
BSU Rector Elchin Babayev emphasized that the program is the result of successful cooperation between the University and the Ministry of Culture and contributes to the preparation of highly qualified specialists at the intersection of law and culture.
The defended theses addressed such topics as the legal regulation of the cultural sector, international legal protection of cultural heritage, cultural rights, and current trends in the development of cultural law.
