08/10/2026

The Quality Assurance Centre of Baku State University (BSU) organized a training session on “Leadership and Management Skills.” The training was led by BSU Rector’s Advisor Asiman Ilyasov and brought together university staff and representatives of various educational institutions.

The training aimed to strengthen participants’ leadership and management competencies, expand their knowledge of effective management approaches, and enhance their communication, teamwork and decision-making skills.

The programme covered modern leadership theories and approaches, key principles of effective management, team building and motivation, effective communication, decision-making mechanisms, conflict management and situational leadership. The topics were explored through practical examples, interactive discussions and case-based exercises.

The training emphasized that modern leadership goes beyond making administrative decisions and completing tasks. An effective leader should also unlock employees’ potential, strengthen their motivation, foster a trust-based working environment, and make effective use of the team’s strengths to achieve an organization’s strategic goals.

The training concluded with a Q&A session and an exchange of views on applying the knowledge and skills gained during the programme.
