BSU Holds Training on Modern Approaches to Management
Baku State University (BSU) has held a training session for administrative staff and employees involved in the organisation of academic processes, focusing on academic process management and compliance with current legislation. The training aimed to strengthen the professional competencies of staff in university departments and promote the adoption of innovative management approaches.
Farhad Aydinli, Head of BSU’s Academic Process Management Department, delivered a presentation on the legislation and regulatory documents currently in force in higher education and their practical application in academic administration. He highlighted the importance of correctly applying legal requirements in administrative procedures, including student reinstatement, expulsion, changes to the mode of study, academic leave and the settlement of outstanding academic requirements.
The session also addressed practical issues such as maintaining proper documentation at faculty level, handling student requests, ensuring that administrative decisions are grounded in relevant regulations, and strengthening coordination between faculties and the university’s relevant structural units.
The interactive training featured examples drawn from real-life administrative practice. Participants jointly examined various scenarios, relevant legal provisions and the procedures to be followed when making administrative decisions.
