BSU Holds Training Session on Digital Tools for Teacher–Student Dialogue
A training session titled “Teacher–Student Dialogue: Digital Tools” was held for academic staff at the Azerbaijan–Korea Computer Science Centre of Baku State University (BSU).
Nihat Garibli, a trainer and staff member of BSU’s Information Technology Centre, introduced digital tools designed to facilitate interaction between teachers and students at different stages of a lesson. Using practical examples, he demonstrated how interactive polling platforms such as Mentimeter and Slido can engage students at the beginning of a class, how digital polls can be used during lessons, and how Kahoot can help reinforce learning through game-based quizzes at the end of a session.
The training also covered the creation of automatically graded online tests for post-lesson assessment using Google Forms and Microsoft Forms, the collection of assignments on a single platform, and the use of Padlet as an online board for collaborative work, idea sharing and creative activities. Participants were also introduced to QR codes as a convenient way to share educational resources.
Particular attention was given to cybersecurity practices when using digital tools, including protecting student data, creating strong passwords and enabling two-factor authentication.
The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, during which participants received answers to their questions.
