BSU hosted XI International Scientific Conference on "Achievements and Challenges in Biology"
On October 13-14, 2022, Baku State University (BSU) has hosted the XI International Conference "Achievements and Challenges in Biology", dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Academician Mirali Akhundov. The Conference was co-organized with ICESCO, Izmir Institute of High Technologies (Turkey) and Lahore University (Pakistan).
Speaking at the opening ceremony BSU Rector Elchin Babayev said that interesting discussions took place at the conference. ‘This was the first step towards cooperation. Similar conferences are planned to be held in the future. Another goal of the event is to create a platform where our students and researchers can present their scientific work. They successfully presented the results of their research conducted in the newly created laboratories of BSU’, - stressed Elchin Babayev.
Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of ANAS Irada Huseynova noted that modern areas of biological science influence the development of all areas of science.

at the Institute of Microbiology of Bulgaria Ludmila Kabaivanova and other participants made presentations at the conference.
The main purpose of the International Scientific Conference is to present scientific achievements of researchers in the fundamental and applied fields of molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, biophysics, biochemistry, physiology, nanobiotechnology, botany, flora diversity protection, zoology and aquaculture, ecology of living systems.
