The opening ceremony of the 3rd International Symposium on Communication (Media) and the Art of the Turkic World, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic took place at Baku State University (BSU).

Before the event, an exhibition of graphic design, organized as part of the symposium, was viewed.

BSU Rector Elchin Babayev delivered the opening speech. He emphasized that the Memorandum of Understanding on "Strategic Cooperation in the Media Sphere between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey" serves as a roadmap to establish a strategic media partnership among Azerbaijan, Turkey, and other fraternal Turkic states.

Head of the Turkic World Federation of Journalists Menderes Demir stressed that Turkic states constitute a large family. Menderes Demir underscored the importance of implementing joint projects and promoting shared values in this direction.

The event featured speeches by Nazire Tashpolatova, the Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Uzbekistan; Professor Kayrat Omirbayuly, the Dean of Eurasian University in Kazakhstan; and Professor Elif Asude Tunchay, the Dean of the European University of Lefke in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

At the event, a protocol of cooperation was signed between BSU and the Turkic World Federation of Journalists.
