BSU Hosts Award Ceremony for Winners of III Republican Olympiad
Baku State University (BSU) hosted the award ceremony for the winners of the III Republican Olympiad dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Rector Elchin Babayev highlighted the successful policies in science and education, emphasizing the continuous growth of the Olympic movement. He stressed BSU’s significant role in the country’s political, cultural, scientific, and educational spheres, noting that national leader Heydar Aliyev is one of the university’s most distinguished alumni. Babayev underlined the importance of the Olympiad for students, stating it serves as a strong motivator for their future achievements: “The increasing number of participating universities — 15 this year — demonstrates that we are on the right path.”
Participants included students from ADA University, Azerbaijan Medical University, Baku Higher Oil School, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Baku Engineering University, Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Khazar University, West Caspian University, Sumgayit State University, Nakhchivan State University, Ganja State University, and Lankaran State University.
Following the speeches, BSU Vice-Rector Huseyn Mammadov announced the winners. A total of 30 students received awards: 5 secured first place, 10 took second place, 15 earned third place, and 30 students were given incentive prizes. Winners were presented with diplomas and gifts.
