BSU Hosts “Azerbaijani Language – Open Lessons” Session
The next meeting of the “Azerbaijani Language – Open Lessons” project was held at Baku State University (BSU), featuring Professor Maharram Mammadov, Head of the Department of Turkology.
During the session, the professor spoke about the development stages of the Azerbaijani language and ongoing efforts to preserve and enrich it in the modern era. He highlighted the importance of protecting a shared linguistic and cultural heritage across the Turkic world, as well as the role of the First Turkological Congress in this process.
Emphasizing the need for a scientific approach, he noted the importance of studying language development from a linguistic perspective and advancing a unified Turkic terminology to strengthen the international standing of the Azerbaijani language.
The meeting concluded with a question-and-answer session.
