Baku State University has hosted an international scientific conference dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the acclaimed scientist, academician Rafiga Aliyeva. Called "Chemistry of coordination compounds: actual problems of analytical chemistry", the conference brought together many scholars and researchers.

Rector of Baku State University, academician Abel Maharramov highlighted the life and activities of the late scientist. He noted that Rafiga Aliyeva was the only woman academician in the field of analytical chemistry in Azerbaijan.

The conference heard a number of reports.
