BSU Hosts Conference on Food and Water Security
Baku State University (BSU) has joined forces with Bayramlı Group LLC and the German company AnalytikJena to host an international scientific conference titled "Application of Modern Equipment and Methods in Improving Food and Water Security." The event brings together experts to discuss innovative strategies for addressing pressing challenges in food and water security.
Speaking at the conference’s opening ceremony, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev highlighted the significance of the event in advancing food and water security in Azerbaijan. He noted that the conference demonstrates the successful implementation of public-private partnerships and provides a platform for dialogue and collaboration.
The rector underscored BSU’s contribution to these efforts through its collaboration with industrial and business partners. He also emphasized the role of BSU’s Ecospace and ECOLEAD Clinic in promoting innovative solutions to food and water security, tackling environmental issues, and optimizing the use of natural resources.
Javid Bayramli, Founder and Director of Bayramlı Group LLC, highlighted his company’s role in designing, constructing, and equipping molecular biology laboratories in Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Georgia, Central Asia, and the Arab world. Bayramli emphasized the company’s commitment to advancing public-private cooperation, citing successful collaborations with BSU and other institutions.
During the scientific session of the conference, presentations were delivered by AnalytikJena Regional Manager Marina Mukhina, Analytical Equipment Specialist of Bayramlı Group LLC Aynur Omerli, and AnalytikJena Representative Oliver Büttel.
The conference explores innovative approaches in areas such as atomic absorption spectroscopy, the application of ICP-MS and TOC/TN analysis methods, food quality control, waste management, and addressing environmental challenges.
