BSU hosts Conference on "Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus"
Baku State University (BSU), "SARA INVEST" Holding and "Agro" Plant Clinic jointly organized a regional scientific-practical conference on the "Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus". The conference aimed to address the challenges posed by this virus in the agricultural sector.
BSU Rector, Elchin Babayev, delivered the opening speech, emphasizing the significance of combating pathogenic microorganisms for food safety and biosafety. The Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus is widespread globally and causes substantial economic damage. Establishing collaboration between universities and agricultural enterprises is crucial for developing solution methods based on scientific and practical foundations.
The event was attended by Baba Gurbanov, Director of "SARA INVEST" Holding, Khalid Bayramli, Advisor to BSU Rector on Strategic Development and Relations, Khagani Mammadov, Director of "Seeds and Nursery" LLC as well as the faculty members and students.
The conference featured scientific reports presented by experts from Azerbaijan and Turkey.
