"The role of women in the Azerbaijani science" conference has kicked off at Baku State University co-organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Addressing the conference rector, academician Abel Maharramov noted that women made a significant contribution to the development of all spheres of our society, including science. Abel Maharramov stressed the role of Azerbaijani women in the history of our science. "I would like to tell about Aida Imanguliyeva. Prominent orientalist, pedagogue, doctor of philology, professor Aida Imanguliyeva conquered scientific heights with her tireless work, occupied a special place in the Azerbaijani science”, Maharramov added.

The event was attended by Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hijran Huseynova, deputy chairman of the Milli Majlis Bahar Muradova,  chairperson of the Board of Directors of the newly-created State Exam Center Maleyka Abbaszadeh, The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova, founder of the newspapers "Kaspi" - "Caspiy" , the poet publicist Sona Veliyeva.
